Foodventures with FreeFrom
My health has taken an unfortunate nosedive in the realms of food and my inability to eat most of it. It’s a regular vicious cycle, because I choke randomly & often, have Silent Reflux & Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
As you can imagine these problems put a damper on mealtimes. At the moment I am highly restricted; sugar/artificial sweeteners, dairy (except eggs), soya, white rice & wheat (particularly pasta) all play havoc with my insides and it isn’t pretty.
I’m starving and that is where my foodventures started. I really don’t know how to explain the hell I am in. I need supervised (by an adult) when eating (anything at all). Cheese now has its own chilled area in hell, where it can stay.
At the beginning I was in denial about my relationship with dairy and pasta, so I made a beautiful crock pot lasagna with ricotta & parmesan. It was the best lasagna I’ve ever made but it was the worst thing I’ve ever done to my stomach. I now have to make food choices based on my health and not my taste buds. It’s not an easy task.
Foodventures: Ready, Set, Go!
Today marks the beginning of my foodventures, because I am expecting a delivery containing; coconut flour, raw virgin cold pressed coconut oil, buckwheat, brown rice & organic beef (grass-fed) gelatin.
I guess what I am trying to tell you is that from today, my recipes will be FreeFrom; free from ingredients that upset my stomach, but I’m sure my trusty friend Amanda will keep providing you with other delights as well!
My Muscle Food order just arrived so it’s time to start preparing the next 30 days worth of meals.

I am not planning on following all of these recipes to the letter, I’ve had to make some FreeFrom adjustments, but these are the original recipes that I’ll be working from.
