Angelic Illusion

Angelic Illusion is a signature tag tutorial using Jasc/Corel Paint Shop Pro {PSP}, a third-party plugin & your own digital resources.

You will need:-
Corel Paint Shop Pro X (PC)
Toadies
Tube & Font of choice.

Open your tube in PSP
Shift D to duplicate.
Minimize original for just now.

Onto the duplicated image.
Resize to 450 pixels on the longest side
Crop away any excess canvas.

Draw out a rectangle
Stroke: 5
Create as vector.
Colours: 2 different from tube

Make sure the rectangle covers the whole canvas.
Convert to raster.

Move rectangle below your tube.

Activate tube layer.
Go to Effects > Plugins > Toadies > What are you?:-
I used default settings.

Activate your rectangle layer
Grab your magic wand tool and click on the inside.

Go to Selections > Invert

Activate your tube layer and click delete once.

Selections > None

Merge visible

Go to Image > Canvas size > Settings:-
Width: 500 pixels
Height: 500 pixels
Lock aspect ratio: un-checked
Placement: Extreme left
Click OK

Layers > Duplicate
Image > Mirror
Layers > Duplicate

Grab your mover tool and move the last duplicate into the middle.

*Easy Way*
Layers > Duplicate
Rename this duplicate to ROTATE

With ROTATE activated.

Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize > Settings:-
Hue: Your choice
Saturation: between 60 and 80 depending on effect wanted.
Click OK

X-Out ROTATE

*Awkward way*
Draw out another rectangle as before, directly over the middle rectangle.

Convert to raster.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Go to Toadies > Weaver > Default Settings.

Activate Rectangle.

Click inside with magic wand.

Selections > Invert

Activate tube layer, press delete once.

Selections > Invert

Adjust > Blur > Motion Blur > Settings:-
Direction: 270
Strength: 100
Click OK.

Adjust > Blur > Motion Blur > Settings:-
Direction: 90
Strength: 50
Click OK

Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Hue/Saturation/Lightness > Settings:-
Hue: 0
Saturation: -100
Lightness: 0
Click OK

Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize > Settings:-
Hue: Your choice
Saturation: between 60 and 80 depending on effect wanted.
Click OK

Selections > None
X-Out all other layers and merge visible
Rename to ROTATE
X-Out ROTATE
Re-activate other layers

Layers > Merge Visible
*You can check if it is centered directly by using your magic wand on the empty canvas, remember if you do this to select none before proceeding*
Rename Merged to GREY.

Go to Image > Resize > Settings:-
80% Smart Size All Layers un-checked, Aspect ratio checked

Go to Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Hue/Saturation/Lightness > Settings:-
Hue: 0
Saturation: -100
Lightness: 0
Click OK

Change blend mode from normal to multiply.

Activate and un-X ROTATE.
Move to below GREY.

Go to Image > Free Rotate > Settings:-
90 Degrees Left, All layers and Rotate single layer both un-checked.
Click OK

Activate GREY.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize if needed.

Find a suitable placement that you like.

Grab your text tool….save and you’re done!
